How to make brushing teeth fun for kids
Share
Making brushing fun is very important for your child's oral health. Convincing children to brush their teeth is a common challenge for many parents. Here are five tips to make brushing teeth fun(ner) for children:
For the little ones:
-
Create a tooth-brushing song
Choose a cheerful tune and together with your children, come up with funny lyrics about the importance of brushing teeth, laughing, going to bed and waking up, and of course, healthy teeth. Sing this song every time before brushing to give the tooth-brushing ritual a happy start.
For all ages:
-
Create a reward system
Create a reward system to motivate children to brush their teeth regularly and properly. Make a sticker chart where they earn a sticker every time they brush their teeth without complaining. When the chart is full, they can earn a reward, such as a trip to the playground or a special treat. This way, brushing becomes a game where children are encouraged to do their best.
-
Choose a fun toothbrush
Let your children choose a toothbrush they like. There are many options, ranging from toothbrushes with their favorite cartoon characters, bamboo toothbrushes, or a toothbrush in their favorite color. And perhaps your child might even enjoy brushing with an electric toothbrush. By letting children choose, they feel more involved and are more likely to cooperate.

Don't use plastic tubes, but a fun toothpaste pump from ReBloom Care®
Away with messy plastic tubes and caps that mysteriously disappear in the bathroom! By switching to ReBloom Care®, brushing teeth not only becomes more fun but also more environmentally friendly. The pumps not only prevent scattered caps and plastic tubes but are also easier to use. Not unimportantly, ReBloom toothpastes do not contain harmful substances such as microplastics, SLS, triclosan, and titanium dioxide, which is great for your child. The toothpastes are for children aged five and older.

Make brushing a family activity
Brushing doesn't have to be a solitary activity. Make it a family activity by brushing your teeth together with your children. Make it a ritual where parents and children laugh and have fun together while brushing. This way, brushing not only becomes fun but also strengthens the bond between parents and children.
Good luck!
